About Us

Gold Leaf Events was born in 2019 out of a passion for planning events and bringing people together. Krista Powell and Lisa Buchanan have have over 10+ years of experience planning weddings, galas, festivals, luncheons, conferences, receptions and more! They are certified event planners and are located in Minnedosa but love planning and holding events all over Manitoba.

Gold Leaf Boutique was started in 2022 when a space opened up in Minnedosa, and a dream was started. Since then, the Cafe was added in 2024.

Lisa is married and has two beautiful little boys. She loves the country life with her family, chickens, and dogs! She is a photographer with her own company, 88 North Photography. She loves spending time with her family and friends, and camping!

Krista is married and has two fur babies that she treats as children! She is animal obsessed, she loves spreadsheets, and when she isn’t working, she is always making something. You will find Krista in the kitchen baking cupcakes, muffins, mini cakes, and more! Her side gig is Silver Leaf Creations and loves to attend, and plan craft sales and markets!
